Idaho Criminal Rule 54.8. Clerk's Record.

The official court file of any criminal action appealed to the district court, including the minute entries or orders, together with the exhibits offered or admitted, shall constitute the clerk's record in such appeal. Provided, however, the trial court may file with the district court a certified copy of its official file and retain its original file if ordered by the magistrate. Upon determination of any appeal to the district court, the original clerk's record shall be returned to the trial court together with a certified copy of the order or other disposition rendered by the district court on appeal. No copies of the clerk's record need be prepared unless ordered by the magistrate or by the district court.
