1983-2024: Founding Partner with Johns & Allyn, APC, Civil Litigation Firm, San Rafael, CA. 1980-1983: Associate Litigation Attorney with Bronson, Bronson & McKinnon, San Francisco, CA. 1979-1980: Law Clerk to the Honorable Procter Hug, Jr., Circuit Judge, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, Reno, NV. Forty-five (45) years of experience in civil litigation.

Mediation Training and Experience
Trained as a Mediator and Neutral Evaluator by the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, ADR Unit (2001) and through the Saddleback College Conflict Resolution and Mediation Program (2004). Completed more than 200 hours of advanced mediation training over the past two decades through the Northern District of California, ADR Unit. Served as Instructor in Mediation Training for the Northern District of California, ADR Unit (2024). Mediated and evaluated scores of cases as a Mediator and Neutral Evaluator for the Northern District of California from 2001 to 2025; Certified Specialist in Appellate Law by the California Board of Legal Specialization (2017, recertified 2022). Certified as a Professional Mediator (CPM #434) by the Idaho Mediation Association (2025). Forty-five (45) years of experience in complex civil litigation.
