Court Assistance Office

The Court Assistance Office provides resources, court forms, document review, and legal information for people who want to represent themselves in civil court in the Sixth Judicial District.

This page lists the case types the office can help with, across family, consumer, and housing matters, and explains the three ways to obtain forms: downloading them, requesting them by email, or paying for printed copies at the courthouse. All forms must be reviewed by the office once completed.

Free form packets are available to download, and the page walks through registering for and using e-filing from home. The office does not represent parties and provides legal information rather than legal advice. Hours of operation are during regular business hours at your local courthouse.

When possible, the first priority of a Court Assistance Office is to help connect individuals representing themselves in court with a lawyer.
