Who can get a certificate of good standing?
Only current members of the Idaho State Bar (active, inactive, senior, judicial, house counsel and emeritus) can get certificates of good standing. Former members may contact the Idaho State Bar, Licensing Department, at 208-334-4500 about the possibility of getting written verification of their former status.
Ordering a certificate of good standing.
If you need certification from “the highest court in the state” or “from the clerk of the court,” send a written request to the Idaho Supreme Court, Clerk’s Office, and include the attorney’s full name, Idaho State Bar number, the address where the certificate should be sent, and the appropriate fee
You may also request a certificate by email, however, the certificate will not be mailed until the fee has been received by the Clerk’s Office. Send the email request to [email protected] [1] and include the information as stated above.
Cost for Idaho Supreme Court certificates.
The cost for a certificate of good standing from the Idaho Supreme Court is $10 for each certificate. Please make checks payable to the Idaho Supreme Court and send to P.O. Box 83720, Boise, ID 83720-0101 along with your request. You may pay by credit card over the phone (Visa, Mastercard, or Discover). If you wish to pick up your certificate when it is ready, please include your phone number in your request.
