Judicial Vacancies

The Fifth Judicial District Magistrates Commission is currently recruiting for two (2) Magistrate Judge positions to fill the vacancies created by the retirement of the Honorable Casey U. Robinson in Gooding County and the Honorable Thomas D. Kershaw, Jr. in Twin Falls County. These positions will be chambered at the Gooding County Courthouse and the Twin Falls County Court Facility, respectively.

Applications for the Twin Falls County Magistrate Position are currently closed. The opportunity for public comment is now open. Questionnaires may be obtained from the Trial Court Administrator's office, located at the address listed below or through the link provided below. Completed comments must be returned to Sadie Fasher, at the address listed below no later than 5:00 pm on September 25, 2026 in order to be considered. Interview Date: TBD

The application deadline for the Gooding County Magistrate Position has been extended and is currently open. Application forms are available on the Idaho Supreme Court website at the following link: https://isc.idaho.gov/administrative/salary-expense-forms. All application materials must be received by the Trial Court Administrator of the Fifth Judicial District at the address listed below no later than 5:00 pm on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. Late, faxed, or e-mailed applications will not be accepted.
