Family Court Services

Family Court Services promotes and facilitates the respectful, collaborative, and timely resolution of family law cases, beginning with the least costly and least intrusive options available to families and courts.

This page states the program’s mission and answers the questions parents ask most often, including how to request or modify child support and how to apply for funding assistance.

Mission

To promote and facilitate respectful, collaborative, and timely resolution of family law cases, beginning with the least costly and least intrusive options for families and courts.

Child support amounts are calculated by our Court Assistance Office and available as part of their free online workshop. Please visit their website at Court Assistance, email [email protected], or call (208) 454-7455.

If a parenting time evaluation, brief focused assessment, supervised visitation, co-parent education (such as Bridging Two Homes), or child custody mediation has been ordered in your case, you may be eligible for funding assistance through Family Court Services. Parents may apply by completing our online form at Family Court Services and selecting “Apply for Funding Assistance.”

Please visit Family Court Services and click on “Focus on Children Course.”

Please ensure that you clicked “Submit” after completing your Focus on Children Questionnaire. Upon submission, Family Court Services is automatically notified of your course completion and will upload a status report to your case file within 1-3 business days, reflecting your compliance with the Court’s order.
