Family Court Services supports families of the First Judicial District — serving Benewah, Bonner, Boundary, Kootenai, and Shoshone counties — through the divorce, custody, and separation process.
Our programs focus on the best interests of children and include parent education, mediation, supervised visitation, and related resources.

Services
The Family Court Services office provides the following:
Resources, referrals, information about services and funding for mediation and supervised visitation access.
Maintains a list of mediators, supervised providers, parenting coordinators, and resources for families involved in family law matters.
Conducts the Focus on Children class.
Educates families about options available to help them resolve their court case through alternative dispute resolution methods. This is also known as the "Custody Toolbox."
